Hummingbird Feeders come in a vast array of shapes and sizes- not to mention prices too. We sell an excellent line of durable hard plastic hummingbird feeders. These can be dropped (not from too great a height!), washed in the dishwasher and they still come out on top. Our most popular one is the smaller version of the upper right hand model- under $20 and a great buy. We have 2 hanging in our garden at home.
It is very easy to make your own hummingbird nectar. Just get 4 cups of water, add 1 cup of sugar and bring to the boil. Let it cool and fill up your hummingbird feeders. You can keep any leftover nectar in your refrigerator ready for the next fill up. Please don't put any red food coloring in the solution as this has been proven to be harmful to hummingbirds and is actually not necessary as the feeders are usually colored red. Remember to change the solution in your feeders evry 3-4 days.
