We are very lucky to live in a very bird-rich area of the country. In the spring it's possible to head out and see about 100 species of birds in one day. I know what's the exception rather than the norm, but a list of 50-70 species is not uncommon at all. Check the other sub-files for local birding information at great local birding sites and to print out a list of common birds in the Asheville area.
