Sat Sept 12 Fall for Wildflowers  Guided Hike at Chimney Rock Park 9-11am

Spring isn’t the only time to see wildflowers at Chimney Rock. During this hike,

we’ll be on the lookout for turtlehead, snakeroot, Asiatic dayflower and some asters.

Be prepared for a moderate-to-strenuous 2-hour walk.
$20, $5 for Passholders, $10 for ages 6-15, $3 for Grady’s Kids Club Members

Tues Sept 22 Monarch Butterfly Tagging Workshop at WNC Nature Center 5:30 - 6:30pm
Learn how to participate in the Monarch Watch study.

The presentation will include an in-house lecture on butterfly biology and ecology.

Participants will receive instructions and materials for researching, tagging and

documenting Monarchs in the Asheville area. Reservations are required – limited seats.
